About the Institution

Preserving a centuries-old tradition of Qur'anic learning across the islands of Lakshadweep.

Following the traditional Gurukula-style system, students gather every evening after regular school hours to learn the recitation and teachings of the Holy Quran directly from experienced Usthads. This heritage of Quranic education existed in the islands long before the arrival of modern schooling systems.
